~

Astrology is probably the oldest science known to man with an incalculable influence on every individual's character, behaviour and future. Astrology has been studied for millennia, and is one of those subjects that is easy to learn but can take a lifetime to master.

Astrology Reports serve as Astrological Snapshots of the exact location of the planets at the time of your birth. Based on your unique birth information, your Astrology Report will list, explain and examine the effect that the planets and their interactions have on your life.

To give a basic understanding of Astrology it helps to work through your own natal chart. It helps if you know your date, time and place of birth for an accurate reading, but if you do not know the time, that's ok too, click here to obtain your natal chart: http://www.astro.com/

The Elements used to read your natal chart are The Planets, The Signs, The Houses and The Angles of the Chart, remember this is on a basic level. While the planets are the 'what' of the horoscope, and the signs tell us 'how' the planets manifest their energies, the houses show us 'where' in our lives the planets express their energies most strongly.

The Planets >>
The natal horoscope, the map of ones birth-moment, is drawn up from Earth's viewpoint to show the zodiacs sign against which the planets, Sun and Moon appear. Astrologically, the planets represent the parts of ourselves which make up the whole of the psyche. Everyone has ten astrological planets in the horoscope and, very simply, they represent the following parts of the human psyche:

Moon
unconscious self
Sun
conscious, integrating self
Mercury
mental and nervous faculties
Venus
urge to relate
Mars
drive, self-assertion
Jupiter
urge towards expansion
Saturn
urge towards consolidation
Uranus
sense of individuality
Neptune
sense of oneness
Pluto
urge towards transformation

The Signs >>
The twelve signs represent twelve modes in which the planets can express themselves. They are like adjectives describing how the planets work. At a very basic level we can say that the signs offer the following positive and negative possibilities for the planets' expression:

Aries
courageously or rashly
Taurus
productively or obstinately
Gemini
with versatility or diffusely
Cancer
sentively or touchily
Leo
powerfully or overpoweringly
Virgo
skilfully or critically
Libra
harmoniously or indecisively
Scorpio
intensely or obsessively
Sagittarius
expansively or extravagantly
Capricorn
constructively or severely
Aquarius
inventively or perversely
Pisces
imaginatively or confusedly

The Houses >>
Each of the houses has a particular theme which summarises a complex of interests and concerns. A brief summary of their themes:

First HousePersonality, ego, self-image
Second HousePossessions, values, finances, resources
Third HouseCommunication, intelligence, sharing, environment

The Angles of the Chart >>
The Ascendant is the first point on the chart wheel and is located on the cusp of the First House (9 o'clock position). Directly opposite the Ascendant lies the Descendant, which is located on the cusp of the Seventh House (3 o'clock position). This opposition creates an axis that divides the chart wheel in half, creating the northern and southern hemispheres. The Imum Coeli (IC) sits on the cusp of the Fourth House (6 o'clock position), while opposite it on the cusp of the Tenth House (12 o'clock position) is the Midheaven (MC). The IC and MC create a second axis, dividing
