Tues 2: New Moon (Moon in Aries) :
Your emotions are right on the surface and immediately expressed. You have a tendency to take charge in emotional situations, leading the way to resolving difficult problems. You are highly intuitive regarding emotional matters. You nurture others by encouraging their independence. You need a relationship with your mother that is characterized by independence, discovery and high energy.

Thurs 17 : Full Moon : Blood Moon SH : Wind Moon NH (Moon in Libra) : A powerful and commanding time.

Blood Moon : In preparation for winter, for the introspective time of the year, we seek to clean out the old. This month, we focus on cleansing out our personal spaces for the darker days to come. Our first step is to collect all old outmoded projects and release our hold on them. Then thoroughly clean and organise living space. Buy a smudge stick from your local new age shop and cleanse your space with sage or cedar. After you have done this, light a stick of frankincense and invoke those gods and goddesses with whom you share your life. Allow the energy to settle around you as you focus on the coming months. We are entering the time of thought, of cerebral activity. For some, school awaits. For others, the winter months are those spent cooped up inside due to inclement weather. Now is a good time to take stock of your goals and to plan ahead for the approaching winter. What do you want to accomplish? Affirmation for the Blood Moon: My mind is alert, I observe with keen insight.

Wind Moon : The Wind Moon of April is a good time to let the fresh breezes blow through to remove stagnation. For the Full Moon, make a list of things that have been cluttering your life on an emotional or psychic level. Decorate your space with a white cloth, fresh flowers, and a bottle of sparkling water. Also have handy either wind chimes or a beautiful-sounding bell. Light a lavender colored candle. Invoke a god or goddess of the sky. One by one, read aloud each item from your list, and imagine what it would feel like to be rid of it. Close your eyes, and imagine the wind sweeping through to carry it away. Ring the bell three times and say: "End to clutter, end to strife, remove stagnation from my life. Tinkling breeze blow through my rite, bring clarity and brilliant light."

Then take a sip of the sparkling water. Proceed through your list, and when you are finished, burn the list and cast the ashes to the winds. Affirmation for the Wind Moon: "My path is clear, free from obstacles."

Moon in Libra : You tend to sort your emotions out logically, always perfecting and refining your responses. You strive for purity and healthfulness, practicality and hard work. You have great moral and spiritual strength and will help anyone in need. You nurture others by assessing their faults and helping to find solutions for them. You look to your mother to be a model of purity, morality, hard-work and practicality.

Sun 20 : Sun in Taurus :
When the Sun is in Taurus, we are given the strength and tenacity to follow through on all the projects that were initiated only to be deserted during that impetuous Aries Sun. Taurus may not be a time for brilliant ideas or innovation, but remember that saying about reaping and sowing! Someone's got to do the grunt work sometime -- and the Taurus Sun is that time. However, just because the Sign of the Bull is a time of hard work doesn't mean you'll be completely bereft of pleasure! On the contrary, Taurus, as an Earth Sign, is all about tactile sensation -- the enjoyment you can receive from fine foods, the joy of physical contact, the reward of a warm bubble bath. The Bull also motivates us to attain a level of very basic security, the kind of security garnered through routine and through taking things slowly.

A good time for:

Savoring rich, flavorful food
Engaging your creative side through painting or performing music
Taking bubble baths or enjoying other sensual pleasures

Sat 26 : Chiron retrograde : While Chiron was Direct, the objective was to reach out to heal ourselves, those around us, and the planet. During retrograde Chiron we will be magnetising and attracting to us the healing and guidance we need. We will seek to learn new ways to go inside and heal the deepest darkest parts of ourselves that need our attention and acceptance so that they can begin to transform into usable energy. Find a sanctuary and get busy.

Sat 26 : Mercury retrograde : Mercury Retrogrades three times a year for three weeks each time. This is the time your thinking needs to come back in line with reality. If there's too much information coming in and you're thinking a few steps too far ahead, Mercury Retrograde is a time to process, digest, and organize what you've learned recently so you can understand what's going on and find ways to put what you know to good use. Review your ideas, edit your statements, write in your journal. This is a good time to figure things out, see things from a more internal perspective, and decide how to proceed so you can work and communicate more effectively.

Each month we focus on a different crystal to help you become acquainted with their elements and how they can help you.

Opal

The intrinsic properties of the numerous forms of opal include the amplification of ones traits and characteristics, therefore, providing impetus to overcome the lesser attributes. It helps one to recognise and to feel the creativity which is within the self, providing inspiration and imagination to all situations.

It furthers clean, true and spontaneous action,, enhancing that which one is feeling and allowing for the release of inhibitions.

It can be used to strengthen the memory and to instill faithfulness and loyalty with respect to love, personal affiliations and business relationships.

It is known as a "Stone of Happy Dreams and Changes"' the happy dreams arising from the understanding of personal higher potentials coupled with the glad acceptance of ones inherent perfection. The happy changes emanate from those events and situations which allow ones aspirations to surface.

Opal has been used by the Native American Indian and the Australian Aboriginal Shamen to invoke vision; it has also been used during the Native American ceremony of the vision quest, and by the Australian Aborigines during ceremonial "dreamtime".
