Psychick Focus >>
Last month with the focus on Gemini we saw a month filled with lots of conversations. Gemini's ruling planet Mercury kept the communication up and I'm sure we are still feeling the effects of it. This month we look to Cancer to focus on our emotions. A time to reflect on our pasts, to draw our loved ones near to us and to nurture ourselves and others. To help you relax into July why not treat yourself to some Reiki Sound Therapy.

Reiki Sound Therapy >>
This month we visited Ken and Rochelle in Balmain. They have a wonderful holistic healing technique called Reiki Sound Therapy, which can also be incorporated with massage. This technique offers a deep relaxation equal to deep meditation. It is designed to help you into a more enjoyable mediative state and for the release of ongoing problems. It is especially useful in dealing with stress, grief, illness or for a deep relaxation. It is a healing therapy that brings the body back to its natural state.

Ken and Rochelle have incorporated a variety of healing techniques: Reiki, Massage and Sound Therapy. The session usually lasts for 60 minutes and includes either a 40 minutes Reiki session with 20 minutes of relaxation at the end or a 30 minute massage on the back with a 30 minute Reiki session. Both sessions incorporate the use of sound therapy.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life. Reiki is both powerful and gentle. In its long history of use it has aided in healing virtually every known illness and injury including serious problems like: multiple sclerosis, heart disease, and cancer as well as skin problems, cuts, bruises, broken bones, headache, colds, flu, sore throat, sunburn, fatigue, insomnia, impotence, poor memory, lack of confidence, etc. It is always beneficial and works to improve the effectiveness of all other types of therapy. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance and has many benefits for both client and practitioner, including altered states of consciousness and spiritual experiences.

How Does Reiki Work?
We are alive because life force is flowing through us. Life force flows within the physical body through pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. It also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body.

The life force is responsive to thoughts and feelings. It becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves. These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves

to the energy field and cause a disruption in the flow of life force. This diminishes the vital function of the organs and cells of the physical body.

Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.

Why the focus on sound?
This audio experience has been created with subtle considerations of meter, tonation, reverberation and harmonics, which act as a tuning fork to decelerate brain wave frequencies. This precise and efficient technology enhances balancing of the right and left brain hemisphere to deliver deep, equilibrating meditation with far less time and effort than traditional techniques. This acceleration factor is one of the principal differences between sound therapy meditation and traditional systems of meditation. Thanks to this contemporary, precision technology, state of awareness normally achieved after many years of meditation are easily accessible to everyone.

Testimony >>

"My experience of the Reiki Sound Therapy was deeply relaxing, with subtle waves of clarity and drifting in the blissful sounds. At one point I felt as if a small flame had been lit above my third eye, warming that area. Rochelle had opened my third eye chakra to let the positive energies flow through and do their wonderful healing. Later I experienced two scenarios where I felt as if the lights in the room changed from dim to brighter. In hindsight, I felt that those occurrences went hand in hand with a feeling of lifting, an acceptance of my being and of moving onto clearer times. The music was of an esoteric nature, ebbing and flowing through various wonderful rhythms. Ken and Rochelle have a wonderful persona about them and I felt very relaxed and confident in their presence. I often find my body temperature drops quickly during a meditative session, but not in this warm environment.

I saw intermittent dreams of passing images, dispelled on the recollection of letting things go. Concepts in my life passed through my thought process quickly where I was able to release things previously thought of as a concern. On returning from my journey I felt as though I was wrapped in a warm bubble and had awoken from a fulfilling sleep. Reborn, renewed, ready to take on new challenges. I left with a contented smile on my face."
