Number 1 : We should expect the unexpected at this time. Things may not go according to plan and new opportunities and new horizons will be offered. This could be a fresh start or a change of attitude on our part, leading to sometimes surprising discoveries. May marks the start of the journey of self discovery, and can indicate nervousness, foolishness, naivety, immaturity and lack of willpower and discipline. It can, however, also indicate confidence, fun and idealism. Suggestions of new beginnings, a new start, or even a new way of looking at an old problem, being careful, however, not to be foolish when faced with choices. We are being urged to move forward, to start a new chapter, maybe impulsively, and tackle something new, perhaps despite our conscious mind.

Number 2 : May brings mystery, psychic awareness, inner wisdom, spiritual power and the spiritual quest. We are looking for answers within, and may look to other philosophies for our answers. We seek guidance from a kind, generous teacher and confidant. He can also be a person dealing with the psyche, a priest or spiritual guide. He tells us that what we seek will come, maybe through an alliance, but we may have to be patient. He shows kindness and compassion. We are warned to guard against anything unkind, illegal or immoral, as what we do must be seen to be right by our creator. We cannot totally follow the physical path. Here is someone to whom we can turn to in times of trouble, and someone who will understand the emotional side of our nature.

Number 3 : A new job, chances to develop new skills and talents. A time to develop your potential. It is possible that a hobby or creative talent can be turned into a profitable business, and we will find ourselves rapidly picking up new talents and skills which, if utilised correctly, will help our career advancement. Effort and hard work are suggested and often a period of apprenticeship. We may find ourselves the recipients of a small windfall, and friendships will be good. We may also find ourselves wishing to help or train others with skills we have already developed.

Number 4 : May brings a need for rest and recovery from emotional or physical problems. There is a need for meditation and reflection, to recharge our batteries. Often a period where we will be alone and need to be alone. However, we can also feel abandoned by others. Take this time out to focus on the self and not worry about others.

Number 5 : We realise we cannot run away forever and must stand and face up to our problems, limitations and responsibilities. Partings may occur; someone may even leave the country, leaving us sad and sorrowful, but new
