Hi There

This month we have launched the Psychick t-shirt range with our first design. To check it out, click on the image below.

The November issue of Soul Generating Stuff, sees us discussing crystals. We interviewed one of our Epicycle residents to gain an understanding of crystals and how to work with them. If you're still bursting with questions, drop us a line and we will send you a response.

Working with Crystals >>

What are crystals and how are they formed?
Crystals are any mineral/stone taken from the earth; even dirt and sand are crystals. We stand on a great crystal every day. Just by walking on the earth, we benefit from its energy. Whether it's a rock you find on the ground or one of the prettier crystals, they all work to heal.

Crystals are formed from earth that is put under great pressure. For example, diamonds need a lot of pressure to create their dynamic form; they are the hardest stone in the world. The amount of pressure applied will determine what crystal is grown. A good example is an Amethyst cave with Citrine. The formation of this cave would have meant there were two different pressure points to create the different crystals. The growth of the crystal does not stop there either. Once taken out of their earth's womb, they will continue to grow and change.

How do they work?
Crystals are alive; they thrive on energy and are self-sustaining entities. They are symbiotic, feeding off us as we feed off them. Like any living thing, if you love it, it will grow. They are also non-judgemental. Every crystal runs on a different vibration at a constant rate. For a crystal to work for you, your vibration needs to be matched to the corresponding crystal for all to be harmonious and beneficial.

How does a crystal get its healing properties?
The healing properties of crystals are there when they are formed. Crystals are a gift and a tool given to us from the universe. Their healing properties have been interpreted from trial and error through the ages. Some people are born knowing about crystals, just like an accountant is born with a head for numbers. This knowledge has been shared with others to allow all to enjoy the healing properties on offer.

Using them?
When working with crystals it is best to work with a cleansed and wide-awake stone. Yes I'm serious J To do this just follow this simple two step process 1. Wake them up by making them sing (see below *), 2. Energise them through cleansing, running them under cold water. Think about how you feel after a swim in the ocean? Cleansed? So will they.
Now you are ready to do your energy work. It is good to work in pairs to feel the full energy of healing, but if this is not possible you can still feel the rejuvenating benefits on your own. One person is to lie down while the second person rotates the crystal over the body. Pick which way you want to rotate the crystal, left or right; you will know what feels correct for you. It is a good idea to work on one area at a time. Most people like to work on their chakras as this gives a balanced effect for the whole being. See our August Newsletter for more information on chakra work. If you don't do a lot of energy work is it best to rotate the crystal to activate the energy. If you do a lot of energy work, it is fine to place the crystal on a surface moving your hand over the crystal, which will manipulate the energy.

* To make a crystal sing: Why do we do this? Crystals have been on the verge of waking up for centuries, they just need our energy to do so. For a small crystal rub it between your hands, when you will feel the energy between your hands, it is waking up. To keep it awake, give is a wack with your hand and listen to it sing, just like a new born baby. For large crystals, for example a crystal cave, place it under running water, rub the side for the energy build up then wack it. Now listen to it's beautiful song by placing it to your ear.
When you don't have the time to follow the whole process, just pick one for the day and it will do its thing. Always trust your intuition on choosing a crystal; you know what works for you.

We have on offer a Crystal Pack to help with this process, see below for details. It is not necessary to do a lot of research on which crystal does what. As mentioned previously, we all vibrate at different rates, as do crystals. Just place your hand over your crystals and pick up the one with the most vibration. That is the one you need today.

Charging Crystals Notes: Some crystals run to moon energy and
some to sun energy. You will have

to do a bit of research to work out which is appropriate, but a general rule of thumb is, fire stones are charged in the sun and cooler stones in the moon light.

Double Terminators: Double Terminators are crystals that have a point at both ends. It is not advisable to wear double terminators hanging down, vertically on your body. It sets up a negative energy, making you tired as the energy is just pouring into the earth not into you. A double terminator should be hung horizontally on the body to help the energy move in a figure eight formation, the sign of infinity, giving infinite energy to your being.
