Psychick Focus >> I
was rumaging through some of my old poems and came across one which I wrote while
in London. For my UK friends you may remember this one. Since coming back to Oz
I did a flash course and as one of my assignments I had to do a flash version
of a poem and this is the one I chose. Hope you like The
Journey. For those of us in Aussieland spring
has definitely sprung. Flowers are bloosoming, birds are singing and the animal
beings are starting to grow. I thought I would focus this months newsletter on
Animal Totems. I must say I have had trouble determining mine until the last night
of compiling the newsletter. When I got home this night I was washing the dishes
and noticed a pregnant daddy long legs had taken up residence by my sink. I splashed
it a bit with some water, and said "you can't stay here miss" and off
she went. Later that night my cat who likes to sit on my computer to keep me company
(or maybe its just that it warm up there) jumped into pointer dog pose. Usually
meaning she has seen a creature a crawling. To my surprise I saw a pretty big
spider making a dash across my floor. It all kind of clicked for me. Over the
last couple of years I have been in contact with lots of spiders. I checked out
the meaning of the spider and I believe now that the spider is my Journey Animal
Totem. The journey is long but very rewarding. Wishing
you the joy of finding your Animal Totem. Sare Psychick
Animal
Totems >> It
is believed that each of us is born with 9 animals who bring teachings and messages
for greater understanding and insights for our benefit throughout our lifetime.
Two of those animals are permanent and never leave us; they are our primary totems
-- sometimes called Power Animals. Every animal has its own talents.
A study of its talents will reveal the kind of medicine, magic, and power it can
help you to develop within your own life. Lifelong power animals are usually wild
not domesticated, animals. {every animal has its speciality} The animal
chooses the person, not the other way around. Many believe that they can just
choose an animal and start communicating with it. Usually ego gets in the way
at these times. The individual chooses the animal he or she believes to be most
glamorous and powerful, rather than what is harmonious to the individual. The
results are ineffective and often frustrating. No animal is worse than any other.
Every animal's medicine is unique. You will find the greatest success in the animal
that comes to you. You must develop a relationship with your totem.
To communicate with them demands respect. You must learn their point of view.
Animals won't just warm up to you immediately. They must learn to trust you and
your limitations, and you must learn to trust them and their limitations. This
takes time, patience and practice. You must honour
your totem for its medicine to be effective in your life. The more you honour
them-the more significance you give them within your life-the more powerful and
effective they become. {your imagination is the real link to your totem} |
Once you learn to work with the medicine of your power
animal, it then becomes a doorway to connecting with others of the animal realm.
You are not limited to just one totem. Each can teach or add something to your
life that others can't. Working with your power animal will help teach you how
to align with others. Through your power animal, you learn to align with and shapeshift
to the energies of other animals and beings. Although there are one
or even several totems that are the strongest in your life and remain with you
through most of it, others do play a role. You may have a totem for a day. You
may have a totem that assists you through a particularly rough period in your
life. You are likely to have different totems for different areas of your life.
There's no limit to the totems you can work with. The key though is to connect
strongly and fully with at least one. This expands the consciousness and opens
the bridge to others more easily. Discovering
your Animal Totems >> To
start discovering your Animal Totem, one of the easiest ways is to look around
your room. Yes, you heard me right! Look around your room and notice those posters,
figurines, and maybe stuffed animals you got over your bed. Have you noticed you
have a tendency to favour certain kind of animal(s)? Maybe you should consider
it. It might be trying to tell you something. Reflect upon these questions:
"Why do you like that animal so much?" "What characteristics
do that animal have that you can identify yourself with?" The
links below give you questions to consider when discovering the Animal Totems
in your life. For Journey and Message Animal Totems you will have to often ask
yourself the same questions. Remember that you may not currently have a Journey
or Message totem. And finding out your Life animal totem is not always easy. When
answering these questions you may have more than one answer per question, just
don't start listing out all animals - only the ones that are really important
to you. Follow your instincts when answering the question - when in doubt, don't. The Meaning of your Animal Totem >> As
you can imagine the list of the Animal Totems would be quite long. Instead of
listing them all here we are offering a number of links so you can have a look
yourself. If you can't find your animal here, try searching with your search engine
'Animal Totems spider' or whatever animal you are looking for. Sayahda
